Image making as a photographer is a creative voyage I take everyday.
Born, raised and educated (Pratt Institute) in NYC, made me aware of
the visual treats of life. Capturing a city's bustle, nature's beauty, a
human face and body form, land and seascapes, as well as mankind's
artistry in design and architecture - each offering beauty and grace,
chaos or darkness, raunch or richness, harmony and serenity - has
been a life's passion.
The site is dedicated to studio and street work. After the capture, each
photograph is addressed in the studio. It is here that I lay out a digital
canvas, and render imagery to further express myself.
Individual limited edition prints - such as "Lila", which was recently on
display at the de Young Museum - are available for sale. So, too, are
Collector's Editions, including: "Urbano, "GeoDeo", "Conception", and
a provocative image/poem essay, "The Back Hand Of My Sugar".
Images are printed individually in the studio with Archival Pigment Inks
on 100% Natural Rag and other Museum papers, each signed, dated
and numbered.
I am very pleased to present my work, and welcome your interest and
patronage.
Thank you,
Hal Martin Brandes
